Our publishing focus ...

Have an idea? We'd love to hear!

Keep in mind, we don't publish simply any and all books ... we actually do have a focus. Here's a little blurb about our focus and priorities ...

Urban Loft Publishers focuses on ideas, topics, themes, and conversations about all things urban. Renewing the city is the central theme and focus of what we publish. It is our intention to blend urban ministry, theology, urban planning, architecture, urbanism, stories, and the social sciences, as ways to drive the conversation. While we lean heavily towards scholarly and academic works, we explore the fun and lighter sides of cities as well. We publish a wide variety of urban perspectives, from books by the experts about the city to personal stories and personal accounts of urbanites who live in the city.

Our focus is on works that are at the intersection of urban studies, theology, and missiology. But we are also interested in stories from urbanites.

Drop us an email and we'll email you a manuscript proposal template to help walk you through the process.

Topics:

Here are some of the topics we are interested in publishing:

  • Urban Studies (gentrification, poverty, global megacities, urbanization, globalization, immigration, high-density cities, economics, urban renewal, etc)
  • Urban Ministry (slums / urban poor, community development, etc)
  • Missiology / missional church
  • Theology
  • Missions
  • Urban / Transportation Planning
  • Architecture / Urban Design

Whether addressing topics like Urban Church Planting or Urban Planning, the framework is a biblical and theological framework.

Our focus is on works that are at the intersection of urban studies, theology, and missiology. But we are also interested in stories from urbanites.
